Our client is a global leader in the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall plant management with P&L accountabilities, ensuring efficient operation for metal mechanical site of  over 1000 workers
• Oversees production engineering, production operations, purchasing, planning, quality and program management to attain maximum efficiency in the test, manufacturing and production of our product. 
• Develops, recommends and implements manufacturing procedures that result in continuous improvement in cost, quality and delivery. 
• Develops, monitors and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Develops and implements action plans related to the same. 
• Ensures the timely data collection and reporting of key non-financial operating metrics. 
• Ensures orders are manufactured according to specifications/quality requirements, and manufacturing cost standards are met. 
• Manages department budget and controls expenses effectively. 
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.  
• Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. 
• Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. 
• Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.   Ensures effective training, development and performance appraisals of staff. 
• Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.  
• Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. 
• Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers as well as executive management. 

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree with 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment (related industry). 
• Must have complete knowledge of operations management and P&L responsibilities with a strong customer service focus mindset.
• Ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience in directing and managing groups. 
• Experience with Six Sigma Quality
• Experience with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing at a functional level
• Familiar with Sheet metal Fabrication and / or electromechanical assembly strongly preferred 
• Understands rigorous system level test methodologies and debug processes.
• Will work on complex problems where analysis requires an evaluation of intangible factors.
• It is looking for a talented team player with strong written/verbal communication skills, excellent project and people management skills, and great problem-solving skills.  
• A "can do" attitude and the ability to perform in fast-paced, often high-stress environment is a must!
• Prior experience in China is a must and Mandarin speaking preferred.
