Job Description:
It Communications Technology Lab (CTL) is a newly created lab within It China Research Center (ICRC) in Beijing with presence in Shanghai. Its mission is to make CTL lab the best Communications Technology research and technology development lab in China. Its charter includes conducting world-class research and technology development, partner with it biz groups to max cross-architecture value and drive It communications technology leadership in China.
This (senior) researcher/engineer position is responsible for actively participating in and contributing to the evolved wireless technologies and standard, like 802.16e, 3GPP LTE, TD-SCDMA.
The Candidate will need to work closely with US and Asia-pacific team for local and international wireless research, development and project collaboration; provide technical analysis, research, design, advanced ideas and simulation result for driving target project success and technology convergence; and may also work with other teams to contribute innovative ideas to standard body as needed.
The candidate will be member of the wireless research team to participate in CTL advanced wireless project with the goal of innovating wireless research and development.
Requirement:
- PhD/MS degree in EE or related area with 3+/5+ years experience on wireless research and development.
- Broad and deep knowledge in wireless communication.
- Development experience in one of the following three areas:
- Internetworking among different technologies.
- MAC layer processing for mixed media flow with different QoS requirement.
- Mobility management for service management, location management, user and terminal management.
- Research and/or Development experience in one of the areas including WiMAX, 3GPP LTE, WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA.
- Experience in the WIMAX, 3GPP standard and contribution is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in OFDM system.
- Good experience in wireless system level simulation, methodology, and wireless link level simulation and its methodology.
- The candidate must be a good team player, self motivated, fully-confident, and proactive in daily work.
- Excellent oral and written English are required.
