Customer Support Engineer(2370) |
Company Background: Our client is a leading MNC chipmaker in the computing and communications industries.
Job Description: Plans and schedules work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks. Uses judgment in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems using formal education and judgment. Qualifications: You should possess a Bachelor's degree in the area of Computer Science or Management Information Systems with at least five years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additional qualifications include:
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript*.
- Working knowledge of the Windows* and Linux* operating systems.
- Working knowledge of software products such as compilers, tuning applications and cluster tools.
- Specific knowledge and experience with licensing software and trouble shooting would be an added advantage, for example MacroVision*'s FLEXlm*.
- Ability to identify root cause of issues to provide feedback into product development.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to issues manner as first and second line of support.
- Excellent communication skills (bilingualism would be an added advantage)
- Willingness to work hours to support other time zones.
- Ability to review and update technical documents such as FAQs, Release Notes and User Guides as part of startup support.
- Demonstrated technical ability to learn new products and ramp up on new features.
- Ability to work with diverse and dispersed team members.
