Brief description of the main tasks:

• Provide Technical Service on Adhesive Raw Materials for customers inside APAC.
• Set up product and customer strategies in close cooperation with MU ADH.
• Proactively seek for new applications for our current or for new products.
• Develop new products if necessary.
• Push technology transfer from EMEA to APAC.
• Set up centers of expertise in APAC.
• Lead projects and task forces when requested.
• Initiate and participate in industry associations, lobbying activities and forward marketing.
• Constantly seek for synergies between Coatings and Adhesives.
• Train and educate BD and MU staff regarding technical and managerial competencies. 
• Train customers.
• Improve knowledge of competitive technologies and products inside BD ADH
  Knowledge required. 
• PhD in Chemistry + min. 8-10 years of professional experience in the adhesives industry.
• Knowledge on technologies other than polyurethanes preferred.

Required experience:

• Expertise in formulation and application of adhesives, preferably waterborne
  Skills.
• Experience in multinational or big regional companies strongly requested.
• Asian/American or Asia/European background as a must.
• Knowledge of the APAC adhesives industry.
• Age: 35-45 years.
• Experience in dealing with customers.
• Good English skills.
• Good Mandarin skills.
• Social competence.
• Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with project work.
• Customer Interaction Skills: stamina, good communication skills, presentation skills.
