Main Responsibilities:

• To provide different kind of technical support to our (existing/potential) customers to ensure that the developed system is applied at the customer under the best possible conditions resulting in the best performance of the foam systems on the customer lines so that our materials can be used to the benefit of the customer. 
• To make formulations from other  regional technical centres available for the BaySystems network in the region by exchanging development results within the regional and global BD network.
• To transfer knowhow from other regions/other production sites by localizing formulations matching the sourcing plan of the system houses with the result that number of raw materials for the system houses is minimized and chemical cost can be optimized. 
• To identify and screen new materials to be used as raw materials in order to reduce chemical cost or improve performance of foam systems by evaluating the raw materials in the laboratory/work shop and reporting of the results, so that use of these materials can be approved by production departments. 
• To check the technical parameters and specification at customer¡¯s site by on site control of production equipment and parameters to ensure that all technical frame parameters for the development of a foam system are known beforehand, in order to ensure that development time is reduced and the target for the development is set correctly.
• To supervise and guide the development of formulations for CON by coaching staff on development approaches and helping in the selection of the most suitable approach.
• To follow trends in legislation and standard setting for polyurethane in construction by participation in standard setting groups for rigid foam in construction and by reporting of trends so that these can be mirrored in new developments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University graduate major in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of industry experience (or higher university degree).
• Experience in PUR industry (most preferred: rigid foam related) or in construction industry is preferred, e.g. in development or in technical customer support.
• Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
• High degree of analytical thinking and to solve problems.
• Good interpersonal skill within internal organization and with customers.
• Good reporting abilities.
• Experience in leading small team.
• Good command of spoken & written English and Chinese
• Willing to travel within China (30 %). Some travel within APAC may be required.
