Company Background:
Our client is a JV plant to produce engines in Beijing.

Detailed Position Requirements:

• Prefer candidates who have a distinct interest in Vehicle and System Integration and product development.
• One or more years of technical expertise in vehicle system integration and validation of diesel engines with capability to lead projects.

Responsibilities:

• Champion the requirements of OEM's and DOEM's within the relevant manufacturing site.  
• Support all OEM¡¯s specific engineering activities and ensuring that the programme delivers to quality, cost, and delivery targets. 
• Prepare technical data and complete documentation of work through the use of IQA¡¯s (Installation Quality Assessments) and AEB¡¯s (Application Engineering Bulletins).
• Use of the IQA process, including electronic interface, calibration sign-off and aftertreatment system verifications as appropriate to ensure consistency and quality of installations.
• Make supplier, OEM, and end-user customer visits as appropriate to support project activities at the relevant departmental level.
• Work closely with other engineering Groups to ensure Customers requirements are fully meet through quality designs at the lowest possible cost.
• Drive continuous improvements through the 7 Step problem solving.
• Write engineering releases, as appropriate, that adhere to product definition standards and guidelines
• Develop and manage to Individual Work with direct supervision from the Tech Specialist/Team Leader.
• Assess the robustness and capability of new designs in meeting their customer expectations through participation in design reviews.
• Provide creative, innovative contributions to OEM's/DOEM's in developing the installation.
• Support low cost initiative by promoting the use of common specifications.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above.
• At least 5 years related work experience.
• Basic understanding of engine products and their capabilities.
• Proficiency in the IQA process and procedures. 
• Conversant with the AEB's relevant to their account base but would seek assistance on their application.
• Good presentation skills as well as written communication skills.  
• Confident in communicating to peer groups, both internally and externally.  
• A team player in cross-functional technical groups/teams.
• Works with reasonable degree of autonomy, with supervision and mentoring relating primarily to engineering and account handling.
• Consults with Line Supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments that are outside scope of responsibility.
• Capable of leading a Six Sigma project.
• Good English Communication skill.
