Company Background:
Our client is a JV plant to produce engines in Beijing.

Responsibilities:

• Develop all gage and inspection equipment specifications for new engine facility in Beijing.
• Lead the gage procurement activity (Proposal reviews, supplier selection ¨C gages and coordinate measuring machines)
• Dimensional metrology functional expert.
• Lead metrology and gage technicians.
• Manage workload, assuring deliver key project milestones are met.
• Train, mentor, and supervise Metrology & Metallurgy engineers.
• Assure appropriate technical resources are assigned to workload as needed.

Requirements:

• Four year technical degree in related field.
• Minimum of seven engineering automotive or high volume engineering experience.
• Technical expertise in dimensional measurements and gauging which should include; Coordinate measurements, Surface texture and Form.
• Knowledge/interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Demonstrated project leadership, problem solving and investigative skills.
• Good PC skills, Excel, Email.
• Detailed knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.
• Experienced in using engineering / inspection standards to develop audit controls and plans.
• High energy level, motivation and desire to work cross-functionally.
• Good Oral and written communications skills in Chinese & English.
• Able to coach and motivate others while actively supporting teamwork.
• Ability to work effectively with other professionals to solve technical issues.
• Self Motivated, able to identify work to be done and then do it.
• Ability to provide technical and managerial leadership to laboratory technicians.
• Provide mentorship to entry level Metrologist and Gauge Engineers.
• Strong analytical skills, able to make data based decisions with minimal direction.
• Balance internal and customer business needs, to conclusion with minimal direction.
