Description:
The role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the integration of applications and applications implementation into the organization's IT roadmap. This individual is also responsible for managing the interoperability of applications under development either by in-house software development teams or project implementation teams. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a thorough knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage the implementation of new applications throughout the enterprise.
- Ensure that implementations of projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Ensure that IT planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company¡¯s overall strategic vision.
- Lead implementation phase of software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the implementation applications.
- Liaise with software provider and engineers to address issues in program implementation
- Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via implementation, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of implementation on those processes.
- Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate implementation of projects and initiatives.
- Where necessary, provide guidance and coach to junior members of the team.
Position Requirements:
- College diploma or university degree in computer science or computer engineering, and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in ERP are preferred.
- Above 5 years direct experience in enterprise-level application implementation, such as ERP.
- Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling, methodology development, and data mapping.
- Extensive experience with core applications, including QAD, MES, PDM etc.
- Technically fluent in programming languages, such as Java.
- Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to implementation and engineering.
- Direct, hands-on experience with IT project management tools.
- Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques, Oracle and Progress are preferred.
- Outstanding writing and documentation skills.
- Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
- Strong knowledge of application quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of infrastructure setup and management.
- Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
- Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Able to conduct research into application integration issues and products.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
