Qualifications: You must possess a relevant educational qualification with two to five years of relevant experience. Motivated team member with experience in working group objectives for virtual teams. Ability to learn quickly, engage remote peers for requirements and work independently to meet customer demand and timelines. Clearly demonstrated communication and documentation skills. Additional qualifications include:
- Advance knowledge of UNIX/Windows system administration on one or more platforms (Linux, HP-UX, Windows).
- Good working technical knowledge of UNIX/Windows computing in areas such as Operating Systems, Filesystems, Remote access.
- Demonstrated programming experience in Perl, VBscript, C and/or C++, JAVA for automating routine tasks.
- Database programming and administration MSSQL/MySQL.
- Familiarity with web platforms and Java scripting.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure (TCP/IP, client/server architectures).
- General understanding of backup methodologies and database systems.
- Building automated client installation packages and wrappers (RPM's, SMS).
- Familiarity with Software Configuration Management methodology.
- Experience either as an active user or administrator of an SCM systems and software development tools.
- Experience with other tools such as ClearCase and Subversion would be an added advantage.
- Experience with Build automation and Build Management would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities: It's to support it software developer community segments by providing engineering, deployment, and sustaining services for a variety of 3rd party software configuration management products. Scope includes products that support and integrate with the Software Development Life Cycle such as Version Control, Defect Tracking, IP scanning, and Static Analysis. Currently looking for candidates to engineer and sustain the enterprise deployments of the IBM ClearQuest Defect Tracking and Klocwork K7 Static Analysis products. In this position, you will be partnering with business units, other IT organizations, and peers to provide new capabilities and enhance design capacity, capability and productivity. You will be responsible for the management of various aspects of our supported environment including tool validation, new release qualification, environment automation and monitoring, environment standardization, vendor liaison, BKM documentation, daily operation support, and others. You will be actively participating with cross site teams and projects to ensure consistent rollout of standards that will allow for efficient, high quality support of our products and services. |
