Description:
As a technical writer, you will be responsible for documenting it's XML software processing libraries and other software products. This includes designing, writing, revising, and editing highly technical concepts and instructions and creating software product documentation (user guides, reference manuals, etc.) and online help to describe product functionality to end users. You will work closely with software engineers and other project stakeholders to develop new content or revise existing content. For creating product documentation, you will analyze and interpret data to determine appropriate syntax, style, and grammatical usage, as well as adhere to legal guidelines.

Qualifications:

 
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a technical science/mathematics area plus excellent English writing skills and good spoken English skills are required. Working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Acrobat, and RoboHelp authoring tools and a basic knowledge of XML and XML processing technologies are necessary; preference is given to candidates with programming experience/training in C++/Java and those familiar with the software development process. Aptitude for quickly learning complex technical material and creating relevant, concise written content is required. Prior experience as a software technical writer, such as creating software user guides and reference manuals is a major plus.
