Commercial Developer(2435)

Company Background:
Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify, Qualify, Develop and Maintain a pipeline of Water Treatment Structured Projects (Desalination, Waste Water recycle/reuse, Industrial process water) - BOO's, DBO's, Engineered solutions- opportunities in designated territory.
  • At all time a Commercial Project Developer should be targeting 5 concurrent, qualified projects. 1-2 should be near-term opportunities, 3-5 should be longer term. In a steady-state condition a Commercial Project Developer should bring a major project to bid every 3 to 6 months.
  • Develop for each project a winning commercial strategy, and Value Proposition. This includes the research of best partners to make the proposal successful. Final partner selection and qualification will be a team exercise though (Legal, Risk, Finance, Engineering involved)
  • Manage relationship with customer and extended scope partners and contractors activities in a matrix environment including construction contractors, engineering contractors, equipment vendors, and service suppliers.
  • Coordinate during project development with functional teams:
  1. Sales and Commercial Operations.
  2. Engineering teams. 
  3. Risk Team.
  4. EH&S Team. 
  5. Proposal developers.
  • Prepare and attend QMI & Risk reviews
  • Identify, target and structure a relationship with market development partners. A market development partner is one that over the next several years could bring us into multiple projects, early in the project lifecycle.
  • A Commercial Project Developer will need to bring a defined number of projects to bid every year- Yearly objective defined with management
  • Be the absolute EXPERT in designated territory: understanding the politics, market dynamics, competitive dynamics, key partners etc.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or a minimum of 6 years of technical experience.  
  • Commercial Leadership - 5 to 10 years commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage in Matrix environment/organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet schedule commitments. 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills. 
  • Business Acumen.
  • Good English.
