Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Finding new Customers: Use domain expertise and market knowledge to refine the strike zones where we can win, provide differentiated solutions to industry challenges, educate customers, train sales/service professionals and lead the sales team to the best global opportunities
Keep Existing Customers: Become part of the Technical Marketing "Brain Trust". Team members are responsible for quick response to customer's technical challenges, including troubleshooting assistance if the field team cannot solve a customer technical problem. Proactive customer audits, VGP project assistance to field teams, ongoing customer education programs to reduce customer attrition and reinforce the value it provides.
Growing the Equipment Business: Drive growth in the installed base through improved marketing collateral, aftermarket services packages, strike zone initiatives and sales support. Guide the commercial team to the right opportunities in both the installed base and new customers.
Other specific duties:
- Provide technical training for the field services team and 3rd party contractors as-needed.
- With assistance of other members of the global team, prepare pitches and present our technology in conferences, customer seminars, and customer sales meetings in the region ¨C this also includes preparation of written papers for publication.
- Prepare techno-economic analysis and communicate clear value proposition for our technology relative to customer's next best alternatives
- Over time, become a Technical Pillar ¨C a recognized expert in specific areas that the team is accountable for
- Provide equipment recommendations, specifications, installation documentation, control algorithm programming, and general hardware and software support.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems for customers and/or the W&PT field sales force via telephone or on-site at customer locations
- Working with equipment manufacturers and system integrators to configure custom engineered solutions.
- Supporting the Commercial Operations team by assisting with equipment selection, pricing, and other technical input, as required.
- Develop and maintain digital tools and on-line reference material to assist the W&PT field force with basic equipment support.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering, or other related technical degree is required.
- Basic understanding of water and process treatment chemical applications
- Minimum of three years of relevant technical experience with water treatment or process chemical control equipment.
- Experience with PLC based control algorithm programming experience and computer-networking experience is desirable.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

- Advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification.
- Strong, demonstrated project management and team building skills.
