Description: Plans and/or manages programs or projects to meet specific objectives or goals. Provides leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the project or program. Works on problems and/or tasks in delivery of a specific product or service. Identify tasks, determine dependencies, identify and assign specific resources, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates from team members and create and/or track the project schedule. Assess risk and identify issues. Monitor progress against schedule. Coordinate resources with other functions. Review user and technical requirements for completeness and clarity. Plans and schedules work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks. Uses judgment in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes.
Qualifications:
You should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information System, Information Technology or Communications or a four years degree with more than six years of experience or a Master's degree with more than four years of experience as a localization project and/or program manager, or significant and/or a relevant working experience. PMP certification is preferred. Additional qualifications include:
- Previous project management experience with successful track record.
- Proficiency with budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully delegate work assignments and prioritize workloads for others.
- Ability to influence others without direct authority.
- Good computer skills, including strong Microsoft* Project* skills.
- Demonstrated management and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stress management skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to negotiate with internal and/or external customers, for resources and budgets and schedules with project team and client.
- Strong ability to run effective meetings.
- Ability to efficiently manage projects ranging from multi-million dollar, a year-long software localization projects to fast turn-around four-page product brief localization projects.
- Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed, stakeholder environment and handle a mix of ambiguity within highly defined key process areas.
- Experience in Localization (L10N) or internationalization (I18N).
- Exposure to Contracts and Materials Management (CMM) and other certification processes would be an added advantage.
- Good language background would be an added advantage.
