Our client is a famous investment bank.

The Global Listed Derivatives team is looking for a developer to work on the development and support of exchange reconciliation systems. The Global Reconciliation systems function is to reconcile between Morgan Stanley and the Exchanges. Listed derivatives are traded on over 50 exchanges globally. Reconciliation is a critical function that must be performed by Listed Derivatives Operations each morning before the particular market opens. There is risk of significant financial loss if this does not happen. The current system has limitations and we are in the process of starting a major renovation. The team is comprised of resources in New York to support the European and North American exchanges and Tokyo/Shanghai to support Asia. Initially the candidate is being recruited to work on European and North American initiatives. Position: The candidate will be part of team responsible for supporting the full SDLC for the current system and renovation project work. Below is a list of some key aspects of the position:

• Excellent introduction into the Listed Derivatives product.
• Integration analysis.
• Understanding the front to back trade flow.
• Extensive client interaction.
• Vendor relationship building & product ownership (upgrade, maintenance etc..) 
• Development work for small and large projects (2 wks to 1 year).
• Hands on regulatory and support work.
• Representing Morgan Stanley with the Exchanges.
• Lots of interaction with other teams/applications.
• Installation of new markets.
• High profile project for senior management.
• Exposure to all aspects of the SDLC.

Skills Required:

• Java, Perl, shell scripting.
• MQ.
• Relational database skills (SQL, Sybase and DB2).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good communicator and team worker.
• Able to take the initiative to drive their own work.
• Detail oriented and a fast learner.
