General Requirements:
The ACM Asia engineering team focuses on delivering middleware solutions. The discipline combines integration and strategic engineering, balancing product management with next generation system management solution development. The candidate will be a member of a 3-4 person team in Asia, reporting to a local manager, coordinating engineering work with an offshore development team. The engineering team will partner with sister organizations globally to deliver quality solutions to their client base. They will coordinate support and rollout work with Integration and Support arms of the Engineering group. The successful candidate is a self motivated, results oriented engineer, managing resources to accomplish projects. He or she is expected to prototype designs, and communicate them with offshore development teams to implement his or her vision. He or she is expected to have good troubleshooting skills, and will act as 3rd level support for existing products. He or she will communicate results of troubleshoots or requirements to the offshore team, and set expectations with management on product delivery. Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Work:

• Work with offshore resources, guiding development efforts on strategic projects. 
• Coordinate strategic initiative development efforts with global Engineering team. 
• Participate in technical reviews and research new solutions for plant management. 
• Participate in architecture development teams working on management tools.
  Support Work 
• Liaise with product integration teams to provide production grade solutions. 
• Research, Develop, and document solutions based on communicated requirements. 
• Enhance existing ACM products prioritized based on client feedback and need. 
• Create documentation and support procedures with product integration partners.

Engineering Position General Skills Skills/Experience Required:

• Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively 
• Strong experience with maintaining and supporting a large environment 
• Strong leadership and communication skills (both oral and written). 
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently 
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience 
• Strong understanding of the following middleware approaches/architectures: Client/Server, Multi-Tier, P2P, SOA UNIX Specific Engineering Skills Development background
  

Specific Programming Skills:

• 4-6 years SQL ( Sybase, Oracle, MySql ) 
• 4-6 years Perl, TCL 
• 4-8 years ksh/sh programming 
• 2-4 years C/C++
  

Skills/Experience Desired:

• Strong understanding of multiple technical disciplines
