Company Background:
Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Oversight of all New Product Introductions (NPI) engineering activities in Greater China.  Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching and development of the Greater China NPI team.
• Directly responsible for on time and on budget delivery of all NPI projects activities in Greater China following GE Water NPI tollgate process.
• Responsible for strict adherence of the global NPI process and ensure all design activities are fully compliant with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements.
• Responsible for defining equipment, materials, manpower schedules, timelines, and testing.
• Interface with Global Drafting and Engineering teams to create engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Direct designers, analysts and other resources.  Interface with functions (Sales, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service, etc.) and customers to ensure output is value added technologies/designs that meet customer CTQs (quality, performance, delivery, price, etc.).
• Attend and report on Global NPI Review Rhythm to achieve visibility, predictability, and control of all deliverables. 
• Drive accountability of internal stakeholders and work with them to complete the NPI process.  
• Ensure all processes are strictly adhered to and drive continuous process improvements and initiatives for cycle reduction, discipline, automation, etc.
• Lead and Train project teams to ensure compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or equivalent.
• Must have 10+ years experience in water industry managing and designing platform, custom municipal and industrial water treatment projects. 
• Must have 10+ years experience in project execution and management of Platform and Custom-Engineered projects that involve Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning.
• The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player. 
• Incumbent must be able to demonstrate effective problem solving skills and very strong influencing skills in a global environment, should be an accomplished communicator, and must have demonstrated experience in a position requiring cross-functional integration in a matrix environment.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Desired:

• Previous commercial experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of engineering industry codes including China GB Codes, ASTM, ANSI, SAE, API and etc.
• Six Sigma Black Belt training is preferred.

General:

The NPI Team Leader is responsible for oversight of all NPI engineering activities following GE Water NPI tollgate process.   The position functionally reports to the OTR Engineering Manager, APAC and operationally reports to the Global Systems Engineering COE Leader.
