Our client is a famous investment bank.

The successful candidate will lead a Zhuhai based team of four people, to provide the floor support and application support for the new core banking system in the  China Bank. The applicant will contribute towards delivery of the necessary enterprise infrastructure, and support to the business units, as well as manage risk and regulatory requirements. Core Responsibilities include:

• Managing/leading four consultants to provide day-to-day support coverage for the new core banking system 
• Coordinating technology infrastructure deployment, integration, support and administration 
• Implementing necessary service models for new systems in support of the business 
• Managing vendors and contracts of third party systems and technical services 
• Acting as a liaison between the BU, APG, ASG, vendors, and other Enterprise groups for escalation of unresolved problems 
• Managing outages, with strong sense of urgency and accountability, engaging other IT groups as necessary 
• Performing root cause analysis and providing suggestions to the vendor / APG, to mitigate recurring issues 
• Generating management reports and statistics, and leveraging capacity / performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities 
• Working with Internal Audit, regulators and officials as required

Skills Required

• Bachelors Degree 
• Good understanding of the financial industry and banking regulations in China, preferably with experience as a leader in building / upgrading IT systems for commercial bank(s) in China 
• Solid operational background in UNIX/LINUX/Windows 
• Proficiency in RDBMS-SQL (Oracle, Sybase, DB2), Java/J2EE, XML 
• Fluent in written and oral Mandarin language (simplified Chinese a must); proficient in written and oral English language 
• Strong management and leadership skills 
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills 
• Strong project management, coordination and negotiation skills 
• Ability to work with diverse group of individuals at all levels globally, in IT and business areas
