Company Background: Our client is a famous investment bank.
This is a position with the Application Programming Group (APG) of It Shanghai IT department. The team is involved in defining and implementing Project Management and SDLC methodologies for IT teams at It. The candidate will play a key role in the architecture and design of project management and SDLC processes, and be an "out-of-the-box" thinker with the ability to adapt industry best practices and frameworks to the organizational context. The candidate needs to have a practical "hands-on" approach to demonstrate and deliver process improvements. The candidate will:
- Research contemporary process frameworks (like RUP, Agile Methodologies such as XP, FDD, SCRUM, etc) and internal best practices and adapt these to project/team specific needs.
- Conduct gap analysis against industry standards and facilitate adoption of best practices, templates and guidelines in APG teams.
- Demonstrate process effectiveness by providing "hands-on" support to project teams in the implementation of Project Management and SDLC processes.
- Meet regularly with project teams to review process effectiveness.
- Consult/ advice/ mentor / train project teams on Project Management and SDLC process improvements.
- Help spread, maintain and enhance a culture of delivery excellence and continuous improvement in different projects within the organization.
- Help define a metrics framework to measure productivity, quality and delivery effectiveness.
- Evangelize the benefits of using or changing software processes to various stakeholders. assist with cross Shanghai team coverage, some collection and analysis of requirements from business or IT customers,product evangelism, and customer relationship
Educational Qualifications:
BE/MBA. Should have Process/Quality certifications such as CSQA, PMP, ScrumMaster, etc. Years of experience:
6-7 years of IT Experience with at least 2 years in the software engineering process area of an IT organization
Skills Required:
- Proven hands on experience in defining/ implementing Quality Processes in Software development organizations using standard industry models.
- Proven work experience in process frameworks such as RUP and other agile methodologies such as FDD, XP, SCRUM, etc.
- Project implementation experience using object-oriented development, including usage of UML and OO methodologies
- Proficiency with MS Project
- Sound Knowledge of Project Management concepts.
- Experience interacting with stakeholders and coordinating multiple projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team
