Asia Logistics Leader(2838)

Company Background:
Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Asia Logistics Leader is responsible for leading the vision and mission of the Asia logistics team related to transportation, distribution, international trade compliance and packaging.  The incumbent will drive optimization of a complex network while driving cost out of the business, improvements into the operation, and facilitate a strategic outlook that will better serve all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define, develop and lead a long-term strategy for the logistics to deliver world-class logistics driving optimization, standardization, and overall efficiency. 
  • Partner with the key stakeholders, including OTR, manufacturing, commercial teams (sales & service) and PSI, driving continuous improvement ensuring on-time, complete and compliant deliveries to our customers. 
  • Responsible for it's logistics operations that supports Chemicals, Membranes & Filters, Equipment and Structured Projects. 
  • Lead Logistics council in each region to optimize our logistics processes across P&L's and/or it businesses. 
  • Fiscal responsibility for total logistics spend. 
  • Responsible for driving reduction in costs by using network optimization tools and strategies, including transportation management system and mode shifts. 
  • Build a global professional logistics team within a matrixed organization. 
  • Proficient knowledge & leadership for International Trade Compliance. Identify, report and resolve any trade compliance issues. 
     

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with multiple distribution centers, logistics technology, all modes of transportation, international trade compliance, financial analysis and/or project management, including 5 years in a leadership capacity. 
  • Proven business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization 
  • You must be willing to take a drug test. 
  • You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.

 Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree/Masters degree in a logistics related field 
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with multiple distribution centers, logistics technology, all modes of transportation, international trade compliance, financial analysis and/or project management. 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in leadership in logistics within a business of equivalent size with multifunctional teams in a global environment 
  • Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization. 
  • Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting it businesses and our suppliers. 
  • Creates or revitalizes teams by leading major change initiatives delivering significant growth and profitability improvement 
  • Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical "hands-on" operational plans and strategies 
  • Drives growth and innovation effectiveness through influence and collaboration across functions and businesses.
