Company Background: Our client is a JV plant to produce engines in Beijing.
Position SCOPE:
Working from the BFCEC manufacturing facility located in the Changping District, Beijing. The Customer Quality Manager is responsible for managing technical support for product issues for two new diesel engine products used in light duty Truck, Bus and Automotive applications. BFCEC will supply two distribution channels operated by Foton Motor Company and Cummins. Product from BFCEC will be sold to OEMĄ¯s operating in China and international regions.
Direct Reports: Position Purpose: The Customer Quality Manager is responsible for building and managing the Customer Support team for BFCEC products. The team will provide technical support for warrantable product failures, manage warranty claims, analyze and report of warranty failures, co-ordinate and support technical issue problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a hard working diesel engine technical support team to exceed customersĄ¯ expectations.
- Build and establish warranty processes.
- Manage Warranty group daily operation with high responsibility.
- Plan weekly & monthly & annual initiatives and priorities.
- Analyze warranty & policy data, generate report regularly, raise key issues, and communicate with relevant dept and senior management.
- Be responsible for JV communication & coordination with Foton and Cummins to solve warranty issues.
Key Skills:
- Good oral and written communication skills. Chinese & English.
- Excellent diesel engine knowledge and understanding of modern engine systems.
- Ability to manage, lead and motivate a direct team of technical engineers.
- Ability and willingness to teach / mentor others.
- Self directed and motivated.
- Expert in Quality tools and principles.
- Expert in application of structured problem solving techniques such as 8D, 7Step, Lean and Six Sigma.
- Analytical; able to make decisions based on information and business objectives.

- Able to work cross functionally and lead analytical problem solving.
