Description:
Sourcing at the are cutting edge and the Value Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) under the Sourcing plays a key role in the success of the business.

 This position is responsible for electrical and/or mechanical Verification and Validation for all parts from China Based suppliers according to the drawings and Design CoE's requirements.  In addition, the position encompasses high-level NPI technique support, Supplier Process Technique support, test and manufacturability and serviceability. 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• 100% dedicated to transfer projects defined by global sourcing.
• Measured by cycle time and transfer saving.
• Developing Verification and Validation plan to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, cost and manufacturability. 
• Working with cross-functional teams to complete verification and validation of the part and the subsystem and the system. 
• Analyzing and validating material/component selection, tolerances, performance, cost, manufacturability.
• Evaluating and prioritizing pertinent business tasks with limited information.
• Facilitate the technique discussion between Design CoE and the Suppliers.

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the  Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.
5. Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor/Master's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. 5 years relevant work experience.
3. Experience (work or educational background) in machine design.
4. Experience with CAD and PROE mechanical computer aided design.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities using analytical and logical thinking skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a desired goal.
7. Fluent English in both Verbal and Written.
8. Basic understanding of materials, properties, and manufacturing processes.
9. Demonstrated aptitude for design through use of hand tools.
10.The Internal Candidate is preferred.
