Education/Experience:

• Bachelors or above, Computer Science or related.
• 1-5 years management experience. 
• 5-7 years QE experience or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities:

Understand product design and requirements. Communicate Quality Engineering status and deliverables to the Quality Engineering and product team. Review and approve test plans. Actively participate in quality review meetings. Participate in the product planning process. Effectively manage and lead a diverse team. Oversee all phases of Quality Engineering throughout the development process. Interact with Flash player customers to understand their processes/needs. Build a team and a set of processes to confidently ship the Flash Player on several platforms to more than 300 million customers.

Requirements:

• 4-year college degree in a technical field. 
• Five years of related work experience, with two or more years of management experience in quality assurance. 
• Experience overseeing or implementing automated software testing. 
• Experience with the product life cycle from beginning to end for one or more product releases. 
• Strong understanding of software Quality Engineering methodologies and proven ability to implement effective process methods. 
• Demonstrated ability to work with teams to drive projects to completion. 
• Excellent organizational and team skills, including the ability to execute a number of parallel tasks. 
• Ability to motivate and lead a team on a day-to-day basis. 
• Knowledge of both Windows and Macintosh operating systems. 
• Strong attention to detail. Self-starter capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
• Familiarity with Adobe Flash, and with Web graphics/animation in general. Experience with HTML. 
• Collect measurement metrics of testing operation to continuously improve testing quality and efficiency.
• Continually research new web technologies and incorporate that new knowledge into your ongoing QA process.
• Manage and motivate a high-caliber, team-oriented QA organization, fostering an environment that promotes excellence and rewards results 
• Set team vision and to socialize it across the group, actively aligning efforts to achieve the vision. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Proactive and positive attitude.

Ideal:

• Quality Engineering experience with shrink-wrapped commercial software. 
• Experience with writing HTML and JavaScript. 
• Experience with a programming or scripting language. 
• Familiarity with multiple Adobe products, including Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash.
