Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small team of two to five talented Quality Engineers.  
• Work closely with Quality Engineering Management to define process.  
• Work closely with Quality Engineering Management and Program Management to ensure the defined process is being followed.  
• Work closely with Software Engineers and Quality Engineers on the design and specification  of features.  
• Code and develop simulations to test and emulate scenarios that likely will be encountered by end users of the application  
• Create and execute test scenarios that exercise all new features of the product.  
• Critically think about how consumers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into bugs, action items, and avenues of discussion. 
• Work extremely well with others by both leading and following depending on the circumstance 
• Write thorough test plans and execute the plan in a timely and efficient manner.  
• Write easy to understand test case steps and expected result descriptions.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.  
• Minimum of five years software Quality Engineering experience with a majority of the time in a senior or lead role.  
• Experience designing J2EE server test suites.  
• Experience contributing automated API©\level and customer workflow tests to an automated   testing harness.  
• Knowledge of automation tools (QuickTest Professional for instance) and automation best     practices.  
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems.  
• White box testing experience.  
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language.  
• Desire to be on a highly productive, fast©\paced team.  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
• Super organized and detail©\oriented.  
• Genuine enjoyment of Software Quality Assurance work.

Ideal:

• Working knowledge of Adobe Flex and AIR. 
• Practical experience working in an Agile environment.  
• Experience administering BEA WebLogic or other J2EE servers  
• High Availability and failover testing across multi©\node cluster server configurations.
