Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Set global the & Safety priorities, metrics, goals and requirements for it manufacturing sites and Sales and Service Regions in China.
- Support recruiting and training of new EHS leaders at the site level.
- Support and integrate new sites, acquisitions, joint ventures and teams with it EHS programs.
- Analyze and assess reputation risks and advise business and EHS teams on a short-term basis.
- Understand and support the EHS needs for distributed Sales and Service work forces.
- Develop global programs, tools and training to assist site H&S managers in ensuring compliance with legal requirements, implementing it H&S programs, meeting business expectations and ensuring continuous improvement; ensure robust pipeline and process for VPP/Global Star/H&S excellence certifications
- Lead compliance and program audits of manufacturing sites and sales and service regions
- Coach site H&S personnel on successful closure of findings/recommendations
- Analyze and communicate performance against expectations, provide feedback, establish and track required actions to improve performance
- Provide technical and compliance support to site H&S managers; assist in responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices
- Represent it on it H&S Taskforces in preparing comments on new regulations & standards, such as WEEE and ROHS and Batteries, enhance it programs and expectations; network with other it and external H&S professionals; disseminate information and guidance across the business to enable it Healthcare to meet new requirements
- Interface with health and safety regulatory agencies as needed
- Provide leadership, support and training to build technical, management and leadership skills of site H&S professionals
- Engage leadership support for H&S and coach operations leaders to enable them to successfully discharge their leadership responsibilities for H&S
- Be able to manage multiple projects, priorities and reporting without difficulty.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
- 10-15 years H&S compliance and program experience across multiple sites for a large corporation or consulting firm.
- Must have expert knowledge of U.S./ European/Asian H&S regulations and standards, experience in preparing government submissions and demonstrated effective interaction with regulatory agencies and senior business leaders
- Excellent leadership, program and project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate using English and Chinese
Desired Characteristics:
- International experience and working knowledge of H&S regulatory schemes in Europe and Asia.
- Masters degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
- Technical H&S certification (CIH, CSP, CPE); six sigma green belt (it only)
- Experience with OSHA VPP or other H&S excellence certification programs, (ISO 14001; OHSAS18001) : SGE qualification.
- Experience in supporting Environmental issues.
- MSDS, Chemical Registration, Process Safety Management, Product Stewardship expertise are a plus.
