We are here to build the operating system to power the next generation of innovative world-class consumer electronics devices in a market where the growth opportunity is significantly larger than the PC industry with a forecast of 500 million of devices being sold over the next 5 years.  By delivering core applications (Browser, Media Player, etc.) in Windows Embedded CE with innovation on user experience, and connected services, our team is targeted to expand it Embedded CE market share especially in China and Asia market.
As the Test Lead, you will be leading a team of talented, energetic engineers to ensure we deliver great quality Windows Embedded CE releases to our customers, partners, and end users.   You will be working closely with our program management and dev teams, headquarter teams, as well as our partners in producing the best Windows Embedded CE systems that address consumer's needs.
You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of test methodologies to achieve product quality goals.  Responsibilities include design and implement robust test tools and automation, hiring and managing fulltime SDET individual contributors, define test strategy, test planning, identify required test tools and harnesses, oversee test execution and test tools development, and guide, mentor and grow people in your team. Strong cross group collaboration and communication skills are essential. Internally you will interact closely with the development team and program managers. Externally you will work closely with other development, localization, test and build/release teams from different product groups who utilize our deliverables, likely in different time zones. Interactions includes improve the daily communication process, status, and address issues such as daily build drop, bug tracking and triaging.  You're also expected to be a strong advocate of our customers, work effectively with customers, and bring that feedback and influence on our development cycle and engineering practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant software development, testing and shipping experience, 2+ years in testing discipline leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the software testing methodologies 
• Excellent problem solving and able to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Proficiency in C/C++ automation engineering and strong debugging skills
• Strong team and people management experiences and leadership skills. 
• Team player and result oriented with outstanding communication, collaboration and decision-making ability 
• A BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Previous browser/multimedia related experiences a strong plus.
• Mobile/embedded technology experiences a plus.
