The Credit Technology team, based in New York, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai, is responsible for delivering pricing, execution, and position management capabilities to Corporate Bond, Credit Default Swap, Structured Credit Products and Emerging Market business users. Recent expansion of Credit in Asia requires a hands-on technical team leader in-region who can help build and manage the team. The agile, business-driven environment demands a candidate who can perform analysis, design, coding, testing, training and maintenance of large-scale, distributed, real-time applications as well as lead a team of developers and manage project schedules.

Frequent interaction with business users and technologists across the firm and around the globe necessitates effective written and verbal communications and good interpersonal skills. The team is expected to be a fully engaged partner in the business and as such must develop a full understanding of the business processes which are to be supported. While candidates with prior experience in fixed income products and trading systems are strongly preferred, the ability to be adaptable, learn quickly and think creatively is just as important. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within the firm's expansion in Asia.

Skills Required:

• Object-oriented development in Java and/or C#.
• Concurrent programming in multithreaded, distributed environments.
• Structured data; relational databases (schema design, SQL queries, Sybase/DB2) and XML. 
• Developing software in a UNIX environment. 
• Clear written and verbal communications in English. 
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, meet deadlines and deliver results. 
• Can build and lead a 5 person development team. 
• Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to relocate to Shanghai, China (if not already living there).
