Primary Responsibilities:

Join the  Research Asia University Relations team and make a significant impact on the future computer scientists and engineers. As a University Relations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Cultivating long-term in-depth partnerships with deans, faculties, researchers, and students at the best computer science research and engineering departments in the top universities.
• Working with the universities to integrate it platforms, tools and technologies into their research and curriculum to significantly increase their 1) perception of it & it's tools and technologies, 2) utilization of it technologies in curriculum and research, and 3) view of it as a leading technology partner in the future of education.
• Identifying opportunities for joint collaboration between academic researchers and it Researchers, working closely with MSRA Researchers manage relationships and projects.
• Developing and implementing business plans, managing budgets, measuring and tracking success, and identifying key research and partnering opportunities. 
• Working effectively with a virtual team in the subsidiaries consisting of Academic Development Evangelists, Public Sector, HR for campus recruiting, LCA, and General Managers to leverage resources and market opportunities.
• Organizing and supporting UR events.  Also gives talks at many of these events.

Qualifications:

• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.  Ability to plan strategically and create win/win situations which will benefit both academic partners and it. 
• Ability to work independently.  Effectiveness in achieving results through individual and cross team efforts.  Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities and provide appropriate solutions.
• In-depth understanding of hi-education in Taiwan and Hong Kong especially the knowledge on the most influential research universities and CS/EE departments
• Strong presentation, project management and business/development skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Chinese communication skills required.
• Good knowledge of it products and technologies.
• A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS or related discipline is required;
• Travel required.  A passport holder who can travel to Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taiwan easily.
• 5 years of relevant working experience.  Experience in university teaching and research is a plus.
• A master or Ph.D. degree in computer science or related areas is a plus.
