Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a candidate who has the passion, creativity, and technical insight to help us build the next generation large scale distributed storage system that power Bing worldwide by storing and harnessing our private copy of a big part of the entire Internet.
As a Program Manager II, you will be responsible for working with your colleagues in Development and Testing to design, implement, and ship a specific feature or set of features in our new storage system. You will need to work closely with researchers from MS Research in exploratory projects to bring leading edge technologies to real products in operation. You must have strong core program management skills - deep customer empathy, attention to detail, a proven track record of effectively leading small teams to deliver products, and fluent written and oral communication in English.

Required Qualifications

You must possess a strong technical background and a good grasp of software engineering principles and architecture design. Solid knowledge and experiences in distributed system, database, storage system and large data center operation are strongly preferred. Knowledge of search technologies will be a plus.
You should be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to lead and motivate.  A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is expected. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important.
