Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Lead of Software Development Engineer, you will work with PM and Test teams to design, develop, and deliver quality features for Live Search services.

You must feel comfortable operating within a fast moving research and development team. You should have great core development skills: strong passion for delivering quality products, proven track record of working with PM/Test/Research in a product group, great design, coding, and debugging skills, and excellent written and oral communication. The ability to handle multiple concurrent releases and demonstrated experience driving for results in a cross-group/ team project is a must. And meanwhile, you should manage a great team with members those who are great talents in China market.

Required Qualifications:

You should possess a strong technical background and a good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving, design, and programming skills, and a minimum of 5 years experience in delivering software solutions. You should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to mentor team members.

A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is presumed. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important. And demonstrated management skills and the better the ability to build up a fast growing developer team are required.
Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas is strong plus: C/C++ coding, Chinese Internet Search, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, client-server based systems, High Performance Computing.
