Company Background: Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.
This position is to work as a pilot process engineer in it's Water & Process Technologies R&D laboratories at it's China Technology Center. Position duties include working with cross functional team on process design, scale up and pilot testing for wastewater treatment and water reuse as well as technical support for customers.
Essential functions (responsibilities):
- Coordinate with research engineer to execute on pilot field testing of new products/processes and applications for use in water and wastewater, with a focus on membrane purification (UF/MBR, RO, NF, EDR) for water re-use.
- Determine most effective arrangement of unit operations exercising judgment to balance process requirements, economics, operator effectiveness, and physical health hazards.
- Coordinate cross functional teams and lead onsite pilot testing operations as required.
- Provide technical and engineering support, customer service and problem solving for wastewater treatment and water re-use applications.
Qualifications/requirements:
- Master or bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering/environmental engineering or equivalent
- Familiarity with membrane processes (e.g. UF/MBR, NF/RO) in water treatment is required; industrial process experience is preferred
- Demonstrated expert proficiency with 3d CAD packages
- Ability to design, construct, modify, and operate bench-scale/pilot equipment
- 2-6 years experience in water purification and applications focused on membrane filtration and water reuse
- Experience preferred in design and optimization of water purification unit operations including pre-treatment, ion exchange, oxidation, adsorption, evaporation, crystallization, membrane (e.g. MF, UF, NF/RO), and zero-liquid discharge (ZLD)
- Excellent English communication skills
