Company Background: Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.
This position is to work as a lead research engineer in it's Water & Process Technologies R&D laboratories at it's China Technology Center. Position duties include working with cross functional teams on new product/process development for wastewater treatment and water reuse.
Essential functions (Responsibilities):
- Define, design and develop innovative processes and applications for use in water and wastewater, with a focus on MBR solutions and reuse of wastewater
- Determine most effective arrangement of unit operations exercising judgment in balancing process requirements, economics, operator effectiveness, and physical health hazards
- Guide pilot test operations based on lab bench scale study
- Drive execution on NTI/NPI (new technology introduction/new product introduction) projects
- Generate new ideas according to market needs and initiate new NPI/NTI projects
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or equivalent with basic understanding of biological treatment process
- Experience in MBR water treatment or other industrial water treatment process experience is preferred
- Ability to design, construct, modify, and operate bench-scale/pilot equipment
- 2-5 year experience in water and wastewater treatment processes and applications related to MBR solution, membrane filtration and water reuse
- Experience in design and optimization of water and wastewater treatment unit operations including air flotation, clarification, biological treatment, oxidation, adsorption, etc. with cost effectiveness
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent English communication skills (job require regular communication with US, Canada and other countries)
