Responsibilities/Job Roles

• Define and implement firmware architecture applied to Power Electronic systems with a focus on the development of motion control systems.
• Provide team leadership for the development and implementation of software and control architectures.
• Define and develop configurable firmware architecture based on highly modular concepts.
• Lead the development of GUI tools for end user application, employing parametric configuration.
• Lead documentation efforts including SRS, SDD, validation plans, etc.
• Manage feature release schedules, and commitment dates for releases.
• Lead the Write, Debug and Test Code in C/C++

Qualifications/Requirements

• BSEE / BSCE or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design of embedded software
• Previous experience developing Motion Control algorithms
• Proficiency in embedded software development employing C programming language and structured programming
• Experience with C++ in the PC environment
• Proven capability with more than one family of microprocessor embedded software implementation
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with a variety of software tools and methods
• Proven success employing structured design techniques

Desirable Qualifications

• MSEE / MSCE or equivalent
• Motor control design experience with a variety of motor technologies including: Induction, BLDC, Interior Permanent Magnet Motors
• Minimum 7 experience developing embedded controls with focus on Motion Systems
• Familiar with agency requirements for motor controls - UL, CSA, CE 
• Previous experience applying V/hz, FOC, Slip control technologies
• Six Sigma Certified Black Belt
• Design for Reliability trained
