Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Lead team responsible for the research and development of Imaging technologies and advanced applications supporting the IT industrial product lines with special focus on Healthcare products. Fuel IT's world wide growth by focusing on MR  and X-ray technologies for increased customer value, product performance and enhanced reliability and operability. 
• Interface with business leaders and technologist to identify advanced needs and provide long-term vision for Healthcare application technology.  Guide multi-generation technology plans and secure IP though Patent disclosures and applications.
• Work with Government Agencies and third party commercial entities to develop programs consistent with Lab Charter.
• Work closely with a global multidisciplinary team developing and executing a vision that impacts the future of IT Businesses.
• Formulate a long-term vision and strategy for the lab and Responsible for lab employees performance management, provide coaching and mentoring.  Insure lab financial performance, identification of investment needs, and preparation of budgets
• Enhance the new technology introduction process. Develop tools and techniques to leverage across the IT MR and X-ray portfolio.
• Provide leadership on joint projects with other IT business units including other Global Research Centers, internal domain knowledge experts / business controls teams as well as outside business, government and university partner
• Coach direct reports and provide feedback on performance.
• Drive "No excuses" leadership culture where integrity rules
• Own team metrics for error free, on time, new technology developments and introductions. Responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations including compliance, EHS, project execution, guidance to lab members, customer interface, prioritization of research

Qualifications:

• Masters of science degree in Medical Physics, Computer Science, Bio-Medical Engineering or related field
• 10 years working experience in related area
• Minimum of 5 years experience with research and development
• Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated technical depth and breadth, strong experience
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to energize the team to tackle challenging projects and to generate innovative ideas.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to coordinate programs in a global environment

Desired Skills:

• PhD in Medical Physics or related field 
• Former management / leadership experience in matrix'ed organization
• Expertise in IT MR and X-ray systems
• Experience with systems requirements, system optimization and design documentation
• MBB/BB, DFSS certified (IT only)
