Role Summary/Purpose:

This role has a broad array of responsibilities. It provides finance leadership to Commercial Operations and field Sales teams, helping team negotiate, close and execute customer contracts for the Power & Water business across Thermal, Gasification Licensing, Wind, Aero and Jenbacher segments. This role also works closely with region leadership members, FP&A and manufacturing finance teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Review all contracts for commercial and Controllership risks, work with Sales and CommOps teams to structure deals to minimize commercial and tax exposure and optimize cash collection, revenue recognition and global compliance.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and financing structures. Design and negotiate appropriate payment security and payment schedules.
• Negotiate/manage Letters of Credits, FX and other financial guarantees to be issued for commercial bids and sales contracts.
• Fully understand customer financing arrangements and engage/assist it Capital Market Services and Energy Financial Services to offer customers alternatives to traditional financing options.
• Drive price on new orders; support competitive analysis and provide insight on trends.
• Act as compliance expert with respect to Know your Customer, Money Laundering activities, & new Sales Agent Agreements
• Fully understand project scope of supply and ensure accurate cost roll-up
• Participate deal reviews and prepare summaries for presentation to management approval
• Support region leadership reviews, drive accuracy of forecast on Orders, margin, cash and sales from new Orders and support commercial data gathering and analysis for planning cycles (OP, SII, GPB, DRs)
• Lead special projects and provide commercial finance training in the region and with global team
• Coach/develop FMP as rotation Assignment Leader.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• University degree in finance or accounting; master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experiences
• Great analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with business leaders and colleagues at all levels in cross-functional environment
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and promote teamwork, accountability and speed.
• High energy level, mature, independent and results oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Mandarin for both written and verbal
