Asia Communications Manager-IT Lighting(3369) |
Company Background: Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing a strategic internal & external communication plan for the Asia Pacific business supporting key initiatives and programs within the business and ensuring alignment with overall global communications strategy and messaging.
- Developing and driving a communication plan for the Asia Pacific President & CEO and partnering with human resources leaders/managers to drive consistent communications message model and expectations among the senior staff.
- Ensuring effective two-way communications, programming and outreach including: planning and managing key outputs like town hall updates, employee roundtables and other communications vehicles such as webchats/webcasts/news updates, communication training, etc.
- Partnering with global Lighting Communications team on news generation and content, planning for global vehicles such as Intranet and on-going communications channels, including production of videos and other multimedia programming.
- Helping to develop and manage local communications plans and programs (internal and external) for significant business actions/issues.
- Helping maintain and continuing to develop crisis communication processes, and acting as a company "spokesperson" for media-related matters.
- Partnering with Marketing Communications and Product Managers to develop and execute media plans for general business and targeted trade publications including press releases, feature articles, etc.
- Developing community relation's strategy and help to drive tactics/processes across the pole, including helping to manage relations with key external audiences such as government agencies, NGOs and universities.
- Providing direction and facilitating annual leadership meetings, employee activities and community outreach/volunteerism initiatives
- Leading the Asia Pacific Communications organization
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field;
- 5+ years experience in Communication;
- Proven ability to develop and implement communications strategies that facilitate change and drive business initiatives;
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in collaboration, facilitation, & team building;
- Excellent writing and presentation skills;
- Ability to manage projects, lead cross-functional teams, & deliver on commitments;
- High energy level and ability to energize others;
- Ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and all levels of the organization, including global counterparts;
- An aptitude for digital communications technology;
- Proficiency in MS-Office tools.
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English
Desired:
- Prior experience in a multinational company or highly technical environment
