Company Background: Our client is a well-known MNC company in various technology and services industries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, provide legal training for functional teams, particularly on contract terms & conditions and interpretations
- Supporting the business in dealing with all legal issues in China, including indirect sourcing, EHS, IP and labor employment
- Review and monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on the full range legal issues affecting the business
- Investigating, negotiating, and resolving disputes in China
- Supporting business development activities
- Drive compliance programs across the business through communication, training, and local/global compliance review meetings
- Provide legal support as may be required by assigned business components
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold lawyers certificate, LL.B from a top Chinese law school
- 6+ years practice experience in general corporate, commercial and intellectual property areas at a large law firm or corporate legal department
- Integrity. Strong sense of integrity and belief in integrity as a core value in business
- Must have proven communication, drafting, and negotiation skills, and be able to demonstrate the ability to influence
- Must be able to work individually a well as part of a team
- Must demonstrate prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks of negotiating several contracts at one time
- Must have ability to provide creative business-oriented advice in a global and multi-cultural fast-paced environment
- Desire to learn and grow professionally in a challenging and complex business environment
- Fluent in both English and Chinese
