Description:
Support the integration of multiple codes from development teams and third party suppliers that includes Modem SW, Wireless Connectivity devices, Application Processor SW, Application suites.
Responsibilities: This Software Integration effort is for multiple platform configurations and includes:
- Manage Software builds, build environment and processes
- Execute system integration test cases
- Analyze and identify system level integration issues
- Detailed interaction and follow through with development teams with issues and requirements
- Resolve the dependency and follow up with the team
- Sanity Test the builds and report issues
- Understand Apps and concurrency of Apps
- Be able to do initial debug and classification of test failures, then enabling software development teams to debug further
- Understand how to use equipments such as Call Box, o-scope, Logic Analyzers, JTAG, etc.
- Create scripts to analyze test results to allow quick indication of pass/fail results
Qualifications:
- Skills/Experience 5 to 10 years of experience in embedded or wireless system software development and integration on embedded real time operating systems
- Education Requirements Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in wireless product development including telephony stack software, Audio framework and connectivity software [GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, BT, Wi-Fi, GPS]
- Experience in debugging complex system issues across the stack including drivers, telephony, firmware, as well as testing skills
- Knowledge of wireless software architecture and standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Be able to work in a multi-cultural multi-site environment
- Additional Skills Knowledge of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA.
- Knowledge and experience in Video Telephony, MMS, WAP, Graphics, USB, HLOS
- Knowledge in Linux and Android is a plus
