In this position, you will be joining the IAG and/or ECG and/or Performance Products Division (PPD) P.R.China Technical Marketing Engineering Team and will be responsible for technical support of PPD Tier 1 customers, worldwide support of launched and pre-launch PPD platforms and collateral development and/or maintenance for existing PPD processors and chipsets, targeted for the telecommunication and embedded market. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for product design-in and debug support of customer hardware platform designs
- Establishing a technical trusted advisor relationship with key PPD customers
- Answering customer technical questions during the design enabling and design-in phase of the platform
- Providing technical training to Customers, It Field Application Engineers and Distributor-FAE's
- Participating in cross functional customer teams with the goal of maximizing market segment share with key PPD customers
- Responsible for the generation and maintenance of product collateral
- Proactively influence PPD product line feature set and collaterals with key customers' inputs
Qualifications:
You should possess at minimum a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with five to seven years of related Platform Hardware Design, Applications Engineering and/or IA Processor and Chipset Validation experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Fundamental understanding of It(r) Architecture Processors and Chipsets
- Design experience and working knowledge of It(r) Architecture systems, chip sets or processors
- Strong verbal communication and/or technical writing skills, both in Chinese and English
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel
- Knowledge of PCI, PCI-Express*, DDR and/or DDR2 and/or DDR3 memory interfaces, It(r) Architecture Chipsets and Microprocessor Architecture
- Knowledge of platform testability architecture and tools, that is, JTAG and/or BDSL and IBIST
- Experience with Basic Input Output System (BIOS), low level programming and run time control tools, that is, ITP or JTAG
- Experience in Linux* and vxWorks* Drivers and performance benchmarks would be an added advantage
- Fundamental understanding of It(r) Platform Advance Technologies would be an added advantage, that is, AMT, VT and others
