Role Summary/Purpose - Internal:
The Sales Manager develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role he/she will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize his/her understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities - Internal:
- Provide leadership for sales to assigned customers through the formulation and execution for strategies and plans that capitalize on the customer's strengths as supplemented by IT's products and services
- Build customer relationships with the assigned customer for sales
- Support the assigned customer in sales activities and provide assistance to the customer in identifying new opportunities
- Coordinate activities and provide leadership to establish individual sales strategies obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, and delivery
- Negotiate contracts as required
- Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base
- Work with Marketing to develop project specific sales strategies for assigned customers
- Make recommendations for continued growth
- Provides deal team leadership for related sales within an assigned sales region
- Manages the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through contract flow-down
- Leads deal structuring, pricing and all other proposal development activities as the sales team's primary proposal interface with projects, platform, global ops, risk management and other functional groups as required.
- Develops customer mapping strategies
Qualifications/Requirements - Internal:
- Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering or related from an accredited university or college and at least 8-years sales experience in electric equipment with 3 years in leadership roles, working background of Electric Capacitor and/or Distribution Transformer in T&D and/or industrial market will be preferred.
- Technically competent with in-depth knowledge in Capacitor and/or distribution Transformer.
- Proven track-record of channel growth and distributor development.
- Strong ability to guide and influence customers at all levels and of various functions.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in crisis management.
- Customer oriented, growth driven.
- Say-Do accountability and tenacity to follow through tough assignment.
- Strong analytical and execution skill.
- Self-started and fast learner with strong ability to energize and inspire others, lead by example.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, both listening and presentation.
- Fluent in oral and written Chinese and English
